Nigeria accounts for more than half of HIV patients in West Africa

Nigeria’s HIV infection rate is cause for concern. The United Nations says more than half of West Africa’s HIV positive population is in Nigeria. Although globally, new cases have declined by 18 percent in the past 7 years, the UN says Africa’s most populous nation is lagging behind when it comes to curbing the virus. Our correspondent Phil Ihaza tells us more.
